Warranty coverage

Clear Terms by Repair Type

Coverage applies to the repair work and replacement parts specifically listed on your invoice. It is not a warranty for the entire appliance or for unrelated future failures.

6 months
Standard Appliance Repairs

Standard completed repairs are covered for 6 months from the date of completed repair or part installation.

1 year
Refrigerator Compressor & Sealed-System Work

Qualifying compressor replacement and sealed-system refrigerator repairs are covered for 1 year when identified on the invoice.

Parts + labor
Documented Service Scope

The invoice documents the completed work, installed parts when applicable, and warranty period for that repair.

Warranty periods begin when the repair is completed or the replacement part is installed. Terms are tied to the specific repair scope shown on the invoice.
What is included

Support for the Repair We Completed

The warranty covers the specific repair work and replacement part, when applicable, that AC/DC Tech installed or serviced and documented on the invoice.

  • Parts and labor for a confirmed covered repair issue.
  • Review of the concern and an inspection when needed.
  • Appropriate re-service, repair, or replacement of the covered installed part when coverage applies.
  • Clear communication before any separate or additional work begins.
Important distinction

Repair-Specific, Not Appliance-Wide

Appliances have many independent components. If another component fails later, we will diagnose the issue and explain repair options before any additional work begins.

This approach keeps the warranty clear: we stand behind the repair we performed without suggesting that the entire appliance is covered against every future issue.
A few important warranty conditions

Designed to Be Clear and Fair

Warranty support is intended for issues related to the completed repair. Some appliance conditions are outside the scope of a repair-specific warranty, even when they appear after a service visit.

Coverage does not include
  • New or unrelated failures involving a different component.
  • Accidental or physical damage, misuse, improper installation, or operation outside the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Power surges, lightning, electrical-supply issues, water-supply or drainage conditions, or clogged external vents.
  • Pest damage, corrosion, fire, flooding, or other conditions outside the completed repair scope.
Situations that may need review first
  • Appliances modified, damaged, or serviced by another party after our visit.
  • Manufacturer, supplier, or third-party part terms that apply separately to a replacement component.
  • Concerns where an inspection is needed to confirm whether the issue relates to the covered repair.
  • Any repair need that was not included in the original documented service scope.

How to Request Warranty Support

A short description and a photo or video can help us understand the concern before the visit.

1
Send the details

Share your name, service address, appliance type, invoice number if available, and a short description of the issue.

2
We review the concern

We review the service history and coordinate an inspection when needed to determine whether the concern is related to the covered repair.

3
We explain the next step

For a covered issue, we arrange the appropriate remedy. For an unrelated issue, we explain the findings and repair options before new work begins.

Warranty FAQ

Quick answers about repair coverage and warranty support.

How long is the warranty on a standard appliance repair?
Standard completed appliance repairs are covered for 6 months from the date of completed repair or replacement-part installation. The specific work covered is documented on the invoice.
Which refrigerator repairs receive a 1-year warranty?
Qualifying refrigerator compressor replacement and sealed-system repairs are covered for 1 year when the work is listed on the invoice. The exact repair scope and installed parts are documented after service.
Does the warranty cover both parts and labor?
Yes. When a covered repair issue is confirmed, coverage applies to the parts and labor associated with that specific documented repair.
Does the warranty cover my entire appliance?
No. This is a repair-specific warranty. It covers the repair work and replacement parts listed on your invoice, not unrelated future failures involving other appliance components.
What if the appliance was used outside the manufacturer’s instructions?
Conditions caused by improper operation, misuse, accidental damage, or operation outside the manufacturer’s instructions are not covered. We can still review the appliance and explain available repair options.
What happens if another person services the appliance after your repair?
If the appliance has been modified, damaged, or repaired by another party after our service, we may need to inspect the unit before confirming whether warranty coverage applies.
What information should I send for a warranty request?
Send your name, service address, appliance type, invoice number if available, and a short description of the issue. A photo or video is helpful when practical.
